I was recently given the pleasure of staying at The Deer Park Country House, with my husband celebrating our one year wedding anniversary. The staff were welcoming and promptly showed us to the breathtaking treehouse in which we would be staying and ensured we were settled. Mark Godfrey, the Managing Director, surprised us with strawberries and champagne along with a card to congratulate us on our anniversary. We loved the personal touch making the place feel like a home away from home.
The treehouse was magnificent, the perfect combination of luxury with the good old homely favourites. The bathroom was exquisite, the ideal place to relax in a bath and take a well deserved break. We were left complimentary Molton Brown bath products, one of my favourites: the ultimate mini break.
In the morning, we were treated with the most delicious breakfast, and lunch equally as delightful, the presentation and attention to detail was admirable. We thoroughly looked forward to each meal that was prepared for us.
During the daytime, we walked around the grounds appreciating the beautiful scenery and gardens which were incredibly spectacular and peaceful. In the evening, we invited over some friends and sat out in the sun taking in the views, enjoying our champagne.
Our stay was the perfect break we needed and everything went smoothly, the well deserved relaxation that anyone could ask for. My husband and I would absolutely love to return to enjoy the cosy, quiet space after a busy few months.
